This Chinese painted silk scroll is large and impressive, custom framed with an inside secondary frame.
The overall measurement is 71 1/2” x 34” x 1 3/4”.
The secondary inner frame opening is 54” x 24”. The matte is lined with linen and gilt with a textured gold edge.
Some of the artist signature is covered by the secondary frame and I was not able to translate the seal.
The mountain scene is tranquil and picturesque with lush plant life and cascading waterfalls.
There are two spots on the piece with small imperfections and very small holes, typical of silk (please see photos). This does not deter nor detract from the beauty and stature of the piece.
This piece of Chinese art is in exceptional condition, perfect piece for designers, stagers or any home.
