Vintage Ardleigh Elliott & Sons porcelain musical trinket box. Made in 1991 to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the premier of the ballet “The Nutcracker” in St. Petersburg. The box features scenes of the ballet by artist Natalia Zaitseva, and plays “The Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy”. This limited edition trinket box, only 100 firing days, is 5” wide, 2” deep and 2 1/2” tall. It is in very good vintage condition, there is a tiny, shallow chip on the corner of the lid that is not immediately noticeable, when displayed. No additional chips, or cracks, no wear on the wonderful illustrations. The music mechanism works, there is light damage of the velvet by the key.
