Zwiebelmuster/Blue Onion by Kahla Gravy Boat and Underplate Set. Blueware Gravy Boat and Underplate. Charming porcelain gravy boat and underplate set in the “Blue Onion” pattern by Kahla. Crafted in East Germany (GDR) between 1980-1995. The pattern is a whimsical depiction of onions, flowers and leaves in the classic blueware style. Blue Onion is a porcelain tableware pattern originally manufactured by Meissen Porcelain since the 18th century. In the 19th century, Kahla began producing the pattern, modeled after a pattern first produced by Chinese porcelain painters. This set was estate-owned and is in excellent condition, with no discernible cracks, chips, or crazing. Gravy Boat measures 3.5” in diameter and 3.25” in height. Underplate measures 6.75” in diameter. Please carefully review the photos for condition details.
